The Alternatives

What a way to start the day... It is a wanderlust-filled Sunday afternoon here in Dallas, Texas. We took Chub Chubb, our small, white terrier, to the lake and went for a walk. The trees gave the perfect amount of shade to walk under, while the wind provided us with a nice and cool breeze. It's not usual for us to take Chub's out for a walk at the lake, but I am hoping to make it into a habit. Since I work a nine to five schedule on a daily basis, most of my time requires my ass glued to a chair. I get no steps into my day. Another reason that led to going to the lake, was that I am not as active as I used to be - not that I was extra active, but I did hit the gym regularly. Since meeting my partner, I've become very slugish. And let's be honest, I got waaay to damn comfortable. Yet, I am now on baby steps to get back in track.
